Double Podium for Courtney Crone in VP Racing SportsCar Challenge Doubleheader at Circuit of the Americas
Austin, TX. (March 3, 2026) - The CarBahn with Peregrine Racing team took to Circuit of the Americas, competing in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge second round. Courtney Crone, driver of the No. 35 BMW M4 GT4, started the weekend strong after finishing P2 in the first practice session and pushing herself to P1 in the second practice session before qualifying on Friday, February 27.
After a skillfully executed qualifying session from Crone, she found herself starting from P2 on the grid for the first race of the weekend. Crone carefully maintained her position throughout the race, completing a total of 23 laps with her fastest lap of the race being 01:41.756. Crone finished the race on the podium for Race 1 ahead of her second race of the day.
Crone’s second race of the day, commencing five hours after the first, saw an identical starting lineup for the GSX class, with Crone taking P2 on the grid and ready to reach one step higher on the podium. Demonstrating consistent pace and racecraft, Crone displayed competitive speed and executed a clean race to collect another second-place finish. Crone closed out the doubleheader weekend in Austin with two trophies and strong points towards her championship efforts.
The next stop for VP Racing Challenge Series and Crone will be Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 5-7, 2026. Race 1 will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 12:40 PM ET, with Race 2 happening the following morning on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 7:55 AM ET. Both races will stream live across IMSA TV, Peacock, and YouTube TV.
